Have Julia Fox and Kanye West split? An investigation
These are just some of the many, many questions we have amid claims Ye and Jules have simmered down their New Year romance after taking over our very being with their loved-up show.
The pair, who met during New Years’ celebrations in Miami, went from zero to hero with public displays of affection aplenty that, frankly, left us clutching at our pearls and wanting to call our parents just to hear a soothing and familiar voice.
But as quickly as this glistening love affair for the ages began, it appeared to hit the skids.
Fans have been wondering WTF was going on as Julia, 32, apparently curated her social media to remove some pics of the pair, plus it’s been a hot minute since she’s done a revealing interview and photo series like the heady first days of their relationship, and, to top it off, they’ve not been seen in public for well over a week now after celebrating Julia’s birthday in early February. That’s a long time for these two…
Uncut Gems star Julia also liked one of Kim Kardashian’s posts on Instagram over the weekend, if that means anything. On Monday morning, however, she appeared to have unliked it, if that means anything more.
And, sure, look, it didn’t help that Kanye, 44, – who split with wife Kim last year – has been obsessively Instagramming insults at Kim’s new boyfriend Pete Davidson after begging for god to bring their family back together.
That’s probably going to snuff any flame burning there with Julia, we’d imagine.
But, according to reports, it was Julia and Kanye’s distance that spelled the cooling down of their romance, with the actress based in New York and the rapper calling Los Angeles home.
A source told People: ‘Kanye and Julia both have separate busy lives. Julia lives in New York City and Kanye has been in Los Angeles. The distance makes it hard.
‘They are still in touch and will see each other when they can. Kanye really likes her. It’s fair to say that they have cooled off a bit, though.’
Making this one tangled web we’re failing to unpack, Julia had previously quashed chatters she and Ye had called it a day, after fans noticed she’d unfollowed Kardashian fan accounts and deleted photos of herself with the rapper from her feed AKA the telltale sign a romance is kaput.
She said in a video: ‘Guys, relax. ‘I unfollowed the fan accounts because I was tired of seeing myself, okay? Suddenly Instagram was not a fun place anymore.
‘And I took the f***ing photos down because I read the comments and everyone was like, “Oh my God, you clearly only posted photos where you looked good in….”‘.
Of course.
Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper, Julia recently brushed off claims that the relationship was a PR stunt, telling nay-sayers that ‘time will tell’.
When asked why she believed she was constantly compared to reality star Kim, Julia acknowledged that she and Kim have ‘worn similar looks’ or the same outfits, adding she ‘knew at the time’ Kim had worn a particular outfit but ‘thought it was cool that she had worn it’, adding it was wrong that ‘women are always being pitted against each other’.
As for whether Julia was ever jealous of Kim – again, not helped by her boyfriend having publicly asked for his ex-wife back multiple times – she said there may be ‘residual feelings’ after the divorce, but she wasn’t jealous.
‘It’s human, it’s normal. But I also know that he’s with me now,’ she shrugged.
Julia had previously written in Interview of their blossoming love: ‘Everything with us has been so organic. I don’t know where things are headed but if this is any indication of the future I’m loving the ride.’
Is the ride over? ‘Time will tell…’
Kim and Kanye have been co-parenting their children since filing for divorce in 2021 but recently things have been incredibly tense between them, with an argument on their eldest daughter’s use of TikTok spilling out on social media.
The couple, who were married for six years, share four children together: North, eight, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and two-year-old Saint, while Julia shares one-year-old son Valentino with ex-husband Peter Artemiev.
