Has Shraddha Kapoor agreed to a prequel to Stree? Here’s what we know so far

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao gave a spine-chilling performance in Stree. Following the huge success of this 2018 release, producer Dinesh Vijan released Roohi and announced Bhediya starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. In order to continue the horror franchise, the producer is reportedly planning a prequel to Stree.

While Stree had an open ending, the creators of this horror drama want to give it a backstory. According to a source, Dinesh Vijan intends to feature the journey of the girl who became Stree, and the story will include Shraddha Kapoor reprising her role. This prequel is expected to begin production later this year.

Shraddha Kapoor is currently filming with Ranbir Kapoor for Luv Ranjan’s untitled next film. This entertainer is set to be released on March 8, 2023, during Holi. In addition, Shraddha Kapoor will star in Naagin, which will be directed by Vishal Furia. The filmmaker had previously told BT about the project, “Shraddha looks vulnerable, delicate and beautiful. Ironically, that’s the reason we chose her to play Naagin. And she believed in our vision and came on board. We are working on the project with an estimated timeline in place.” Shraddha Kapoor has also agreed to play the lead in Chaalbaaz in London.
