Prince Harry’s oldest friends called him “nuts” for dating Meghan Markle as she failed to make an effort and clashed with anyone that didn’t agree with her “woke” views, according to a new book.
British biographer Tom Bower’s new book ‘Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors’ has exposed details on “the tangled web surrounding the Sussexes and their relationship with the royal family”.
Bower claims the Suits actress acted “princessy” around his pals and would shut down their “jokey banter”.
The author detailed a shooting weekend at Sandringham in 2016 with 16 of Harry’s friends where Meghan “challenged every guest whose conversation contravened her values”.
“Like other shooting weekends, Harry was looking forward to endless banter, jokes — and a lot of drinking,” Bower said.
“He had not anticipated Meghan’s reaction. Their jokes, involving sexism, feminism and transgender people, ricocheted around the living-rooms and dining-rooms.
“Without hesitation, Meghan challenged every guest whose conversation contravened her values.
“According to Harry’s friends, again and again she reprimanded them about the slightest inappropriate nuance. Nobody was exempt.”
The royal author also noted an occasion where the prince’s friends discussed their “concerns about Meghan’s wokery”.
