Harry Styles just made Pride Month more meaningful for a fan after the British singer granted his request to help him come out during Styles’ “Love On Tour” concert in Wembley Stadium.

During the show, Styles spotted a fan holding up a sign that says, “FROM ONO TO WEMBLEY: HELP ME COME OUT.” The singer brought the sign up to the stage, as seen on the Twitter page of a fan account, one @calsmoodswings, yesterday, June 20.  After showing the sign to the audience, Styles put it on the floor and picked up a rainbow flag, earning cheers among the crowd.

“When this flag goes above my head, you are officially out. I think that’s how it works,” Styles told the fan. “When this [flag] goes up in the head, you’re officially gay, my boy.”

The singer swayed the flag in suspense by running across the stage, bringing the flag up and down, then eventually waving it high above his head.

“Congratulations. You’re a free man!” Styles said while throwing the flag towards the fan’s direction.

The show, which took place last Sunday, June 19, was Styles’ second night in his two-day concert in Wembley. Styles expressed gratitude to his fans and described the first night as one of his favorite shows, via his Twitter page, also last Sunday.

“Wembley, last night was one of my [favorite] shows we’ve ever played. I don’t know where to begin thanking you, I’m completely overwhelmed,” he stated. “I’m so grateful, I’m so happy. Thank you, thank you. I love you all.”

Meanwhile, Styles recently spoke about how he deems it unnecessary to label his sexuality amid public expectations. The singer, known for his songs “Signs of the Times,” “Watermelon Sugar” and “As It Was,” among others, described such practice as “outdated.” JB
