‘Hang your heads in shame!’ Karren Brady blasts ‘disgraceful’ mockery of Prince George

Prince George has recently been at the centre of controversy after being ridiculed in HBO Max’s new animated comedy The Prince. The eight-year-old royal, who is third in line to succeed the Queen as monarch, is claimed to be portrayed as spoilt and sassy in the satirical series.

The show’s 12 episodes are written by Gary Janetti, who is known for the adult animated comedy, Family Guy and the sitcom, Will & Grace.

Baroness Karren Brady has hit out at the new HBO Max series and fumed the network should “hang their heads in shame”.

The 52-year-old spoke out in her latest column, referencing Prince George’s portrayal in the comedy show.

Released last week, The Prince centres around a fictional version of the young royal with expensive taste and a withering sense of humour.

The Prince also features many of the Royal Family’s other core members, who are voiced by a string of Hollywood and British talent.

The Apprentice star has slammed the show and shared it was wrong to take aim at a young child which she claimed was a “Family Guy-style animation”.

“From the clips I have seen, it is offensive drivel. It’s not funny,” Karren stated.

“In fact, the way it portrays the lovely little Prince George is disgraceful.”

Other criticism of the show focused on the decrepit portrayal of the late Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, claiming it was “too soon” after his death in April to be parodying him.

Gary confirmed earlier this year that the show was to be pushed back in the wake of the Duke’s death.

Meanwhile, Orlando, who voiced Prince Harry in the series, has defended the new show.

Orlando, who resides in Montecito close to Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, has reportedly sparked up a friendship with the British royal in recent months.
