Microsoft has refused to reveal a firm release date for Halo Infinite, but a new store listing may have leaked the news. According to a Microsoft store listing spotted by @ALumia_Italia on Twitter, Halo Infinite is set to release on December 8, 2021.

The user went on to explain in a follow-up post that the store listing was updated with the new release date, description, screenshots. As of the time of writing, Halo Infinite’s Microsoft store description section has a placeholder release date of December 31, 2021.

While Microsoft didn’t reveal anything about Master Chief’s next adventure during its Xbox gamescom stream, it’s possible that the news is being saved for Opening Night Live show which is set to take place tonight.

Halo Infinite will release on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass for both PC and console. The game’s multiplayer component will be free to play on all platforms, and certain core features like campaign co-op and forge mode will come to the game a few months after launch.
