Halo Infinite Receives a Massive December 2022 Update Featuring New Map, Free Cosmetics, Game Browser and More
Following the humongous Winter Update, 343 Industries has just released the December 2022 Update for Halo Infinite. This new update features a ton of features and quality of life improvements.
The biggest addition to the latest update comes in the form of a Custom Game Browser. This allows players to sift through several community-created maps and modes created through the Forge Beta. The browser was originally intended to release Season 3. However, the developers at 343 Industries have released a V1 version ahead of time, as they wanted fans to have it “sooner than later.”
In the spirit of the Holiday season as we wrap up for the year, our latest Halo Infinite update contains some gifts for yule!

Halo Infinite gets a classic map, and more
Along with the Custom Game Browser, 343 Industries has added a new map to Halo Infinite called Empyrean. While this might be a new name for Halo fanatics, the map is Halo 3’s The Pit. 343 Industries has rebuilt the map for Infinite using Forge. The map is currently available in Matchmaking and Custom Games.
Following complaints over the armor customization in Halo Infinite, 343 Industries has decided to give back to the community. Players can now redeem cosmetics for free including all armor cores and all the cadet coatings.
Some of the quality-of-life improvements in the December Update include improvements to keyboard & mouse input, networking & desync, and more. To know more about the update, check out the patch notes on Halo support website.
