Up for an adventure?

This Saturday (September 10), Londoners will be able to get a taste of adrenaline with WeRoad, an adventure travel company that takes solo travellers on group holidays.

With travel restrictions over the past two years now compounded by unreliable travel, people who seek adventure can scratch this itch closer to home, if they manage to hail down one of WeRoad’s limited edition tuk-tuks.

Operating in Greenwich and Battersea, the tuk-tuks can be hailed down for free by absolutely anybody.

Revellers will be taken to a secret location where they can get their fix by trying a spontaneous activity, such as bungee jumping, balancing on a tight rope or walking across the millennium dome, again, completely for free.

The initiative is designed not only to give people seeking adventure a way to find it at home, but also to push people out of their comfort zone.

WeRoad’s co-founder Erika De Santi said: ‘We want to give Londoners the opportunity to taste adventure in the heart of the city.

‘This is not for the faint-hearted; if you get in one of our branded tuk-tuks, you will be pushed out of your comfort zone.

‘On our organised tours, you’d expect to make friends and experience things that you’ve never done before.

‘Seeing as there are a lot of issues getting abroad right now, we wanted to bring our unique and adventurous spirit to London.

‘So, for one day only, we will be challenging people to do something crazy and exciting.

‘Most people have not tried bungee jumping, and, if they have, I will bet that the majority of them wouldn’t have done one in central London.

‘We can’t wait to see people’s faces walking over the iconic Millennium Dome, bungee jumping in Battersea or trying one of the other crazy activities we have up our sleeve.’
