Hail Cesar! Michelin-starred Chef’s Table boss expands empire to Hudson Square

The Hudson Square appetite for new attractions and amenities has swallowed a big one.

Superchef Cesar Ramirez – celebrated pilot of three-Michelin-star Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare – signed a lease for a new venue at 333 Hudson Street, boutique office building between Charlton and Vandam streets. The space is 5,000 square feet of which 3,300 sf are on the ground floor.

Chef’s Table has been one of the city’s most exalted dining destinations since it opened in downtown Brooklyn in 2010. In 2016, it moved to 431 W. 37th St. on the far West Side, where the current cost of the Japanese-French tasting menu is $430.

The Hudson Street asking rent was $150 per square foot and the lease term 15 years, according to Newmark vice-chairman Jeffrey Roseman, who represented the landlord.

However, nothing was known yet about Ramirez’s plans. The Hudson Square space was previously a food court, and the chef might use it for another of several Chef’s Table gourmet grocery markets he runs — including the one on West 37th Street that’s home to the sit-down eatery.

Roseman worked with Newmark’s Marc Frankel, while Sinvin’s Chrisopher Owles repped Ramirez.
