Students who have opted for the offline method of examination will have their first semester exam from March 15.
‘About 50,000 students will appear for in-person exams, sources said. These will be held for science, arts, commerce, BBA, BCA, MA, MCom, BEd, MEd and LLB streams.

Sources said that online examinations are being conducted for the first semester because the students were given that choice at a time when Covid-19 cases were reasonably high.

Since then, offline classes and exams have begun for students of classes 1 to 12. When the option was given, 39,000 students had opted for the online exam and 50,000 for offline examination.

Officials of the examination division said that in each of the four online sessions held on a daily basis, 50 questions will be asked. “Each question will carry one mark and will have to be attempted in 50 minutes. One question will be visible on the screen for one minute only. University helplines will remain open if students face problems during the online examination,” officials said.

Students appearing online will have to log in 20 minutes before the scheduled start of the examination.

They have been asked not to leave their seats during the online exam or indulge in any suspicious activity, failing which their exam will be suspended.
