Gujarat Board Class 12 Exam 2023 for Science stream postponed due to JEE-Main – Times of India

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has announced that GSHSEB Class 12 exams for second term of science stream will be conducted from February 06 to 08, 2023. Students, who are going to appear for the annual examinations shall note this.
According to sources, the Gujarat Board 12th science term 2 exams were earlier scheduled to be conducted from January 27 to February 04, 2023 which are now postponed and will now be held from February 06, 2023.
The development comes after many students, who are also going to take the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main exam, and their parents asked the GSHSEB to change the dates as the JEE-Main 2023 exam was clashing with the second term board examinations.
NTA released its examination calendar for academic year 2023-24 on December 15, 2022. As per the official schedule, the JEE Main Session 1 2023 is scheduled for January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 while February 1, 2 and 3 are reserved dates whereas the JEE Main Session 2 exam will be conducted on April 6, 8, 10, 11, 12 and February 13 & 15 are reserved dates.

Meanwhile, students who will appear for the board examinations in Assam and Bihar are also worried about the JEE Main 2023 Session 1 as their final exam dates are clashing or close to the entrance examination.
Many students took to Twitter to raise their voices against the clashing of dates between board examinations and first session of JEE-Main 2023. These candidates said that there is very little or no gap between their practical examinations or annual Class 12 exams and Joint Entrance Examination 2023.
