GTA: GTA III, San Andreas and Vice City are getting remastered versions this year, claims report – Times of India

Rockstar Games is working on the remastered versions of three Grand Theft Auto games this year, as per a report by Kotaku. The three games happen to be Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. The three titles have reportedly reached the final stages of development based on information gleaned from three sources. The report says that the remastered versions could be released by this fall for several platforms.
As per the report, the above-mentioned titles are being remastered using the Unreal Engine and will have both “new and old graphics.” The UI of the games will also see an overhaul but will reportedly retain its classic style. The overall gaming experience could most likely resemble the PS2-era GTA gaming, which could work for old-timers. The remastered GTA III, San Andreas and Vice City could see the light of day in late October or early November on the next-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, Google Stadia and even smartphones. The PC and the mobile ports may take some more time and maybe delayed for next year, says the report.
As per the report, Rockstar Dundee, formerly known as Ruffian Games and currently one of the newest studios at the company, is spearheading the development of the three GTA games and next-gen GTA V ports
Also, all three games are going to be launched in one single digital bundle instead of having spaced out launches, claims the report. Rockstar may also have a remastered version of Red Dead Redemption as its next project. For now, it is going to be the three GTA games that should be perfect for the nostalgic GTA lover.
