GSHSEB asks observers to treat term tests same as board exams – Times of India
In a notification to schools, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has asked all schools to ensure that teachers assigned with exam observers’ duty treat term exams and internal exams same as the board exams and follow every rule of exams. Sources said that the decision is aimed at preparing the students and observers to follow exam rules properly so that the good practice is also followed in the board exams also.
As per the exam schedule, the schools will start conducting term exams starting from October for the year 2022-23. The exam observers will have to follow all the rules they follow in the board exams in these term exams, the notification says.
As per the notification class observers will have to note seat numbers, class, subject, medium and the number of pages in the answer sheets and take the sign of the students on a sheet and submit this sheet to the school after every exam.
The schools have been provided exam rule books also so that the observers and students can follow the rules during the exams. The observers will have to ensure that no unauthorised person enters the examination hall and ensure that no students cheat in any manner during the exams.
