Grogu Short Film is in the Works as Disney Plus Leaks Announcement

The Twitter page for Disney Plus Italy accidentally posted an announcement about a Grogu short that is set to stream on the platform this month.

The tweet, which is now, of course, deleted, showed Star Wars Zen – Grogu and the Dust Bunnies listed to debut on Disney Plus on November 12, 2022. The date is also when The Mandalorian debuted three years ago.

The Zen name implies that this short will be part of the Zenimation series. The original Disney series consists of short films that showcases animated soundscapes as a tribute to the visual and sound artists at Disney. It is created by editor and animator David Bess. The first season of the series released in May 2020 and has episodes featuring characters such as Moana, Ariel, Elsa, Tarzan, and Rapunzel. The second season of Zenimation came out in June 2021 featuring more such Disney characters.

Disney describes the series as follows:

“Zenimation, the series that creates a mindfulness soundscape experience with scenes from the timeless films of Walt Disney Animation Studios, returns for a new season. Enjoy moments from over eight decades of acclaimed films – including scenes from Disney’s first feature Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs all the way through to never-before-seen moments from Raya and the Last Dragon. Unplug, relax, and refresh your senses with the soundscapes of Disney Animation’s Zenimation, a tribute to the visual and sound artists who have created Disney Animation’s legacy of films.”

Grogu is from the same species as Yoda and became a popular character online. Star Wars fans would definitely love more Grogu, and they can catch him on Season 3 of The Mandalorian, which arrives in February 2023.
