Gretchen Ho managed to laugh off a “really bad” bike accident in Switzerland, where she even quipped that the fall reminded her of the hit K-drama “Crash Landing on You” as some of its scenes were set in the European country.

Ho revealed on her Instagram account on Saturday, July 8, that she endured a “steep, sharp descent from the mountains” in Switzerland, as she admitted that her accident was a “really bad fall.”

The news anchor’s post contained glimpses of her wounds, where it can be seen on the palm of her hand and left shoulder. One of the photos also showed her having a bandage on her left wrist.

“Sumemplang nang malala sa Switzerland (I experienced a bad fall in Switzerland). Crash Landing on You?!! [emoji] Steep, sharp descent from the mountains filled with 180 switchback turns. It was a really bad fall. Don’t worry, I’m fine. Malayo naman ito sa bituka (It’s far from my insides),” she said on the caption of her post.

Ho then shared that her bike is “okay,” while adding that her action camera was damaged after the incident. She also assured her followers that she would be sharing her experience in an upcoming episode of her infotainment program “Woman In Action.”

“Yes, mukhang okay naman ang SWorks bike. Pero ang Insta X2 na-damage. Alam ko nang itatanong ninyo. Abangan ang buong kwento sa @womaninactionph #WIASwitzerland. Follow us through my YouTube channel,” she said.

(Yes, my SWorks bike looks okay. But my Insta X2 was damaged. I know what you’re all going to ask. Stay tuned for the whole story in my show “Woman in Action.” Follow us through my YouTube channel.)

The news anchor received supportive messages from her followers in the comments, with some hoping that she would take a break for the time being.

The former volleyball athlete previously caught the attention of netizens last May after revealing that she conquered her fear of water, saying the last time she swam was around “2015 or 2016.”

“The less you fear, the more power you will have, and the more fully you will live.” So happy to get back in the water and prep myself for bigger missions / coverages / shoots ahead,” she said on Instagram. EDV
