Grab a bargain holiday for 2022 with deals from Tui, British Airways and Thomas Cook

IT may not be the happy New Year we were all wishing for but what could be better than planning for fun in the sun in 2022?

Covid has battered travel firms but they are coming out fighting with a host of deals to entice us to book next year. For those keen to lock in a break, it’s never been better, with flexible booking conditions, discounts and even VIP travel treats.

TUI

THE UK’s largest tour operator is launching its Live Happy Sale today, with savings of up to £300 on package holidays flying with Tui or other airlines using code SALE.

There are also thousands of free kids’ places, low deposits from £60pp and a zero deposit on direct debit bookings made online.

The deals are valid on all summer breaks departing between May 1 and October 31, 2022. There are also sale offers for single parents and solo travellers, with the chance to save £200 on bookings with one adult on a minimum spend of £800, or £250 on long-haul trips with one adult on a minimum spend of £1,000.

The company’s cruise line Marella has savings of up to £300 onMed and Caribbean sailings between May 1, 2022, and April 30, 2023, with code CRUISE300; and savings of £300 off European river cruises between March 28 and October 28, 2022, with code TUIRC300.

Summer deals include seven nights’ self-catering at the 4H Tui Blue Alcudia Pins in Majorca from £640pp including one free child place, based on two adults and two children sharing, departing Bristol on August 3 and transfers.

BRITISH AIRWAYS HOLIDAYS

BRITISH Airways and BA Holidays have already launched their January sale, with discounts on flights and trips to 100-plus destinations.

Book before January 25 to qualify, with return flights from Heathrow to New York from £326pp and San Francisco from £345. There is sunshine on sale too, with flights to Dubai from £299, Bermuda from £498 and the Bahamas from £559.

BA Holidays has deposits from £60pp with nothing to pay until four weeks before short-haul trips and seven weeks before long-haul trips.

It is offering seven-night packages (flight and hotel) from £199pp to European destinations including Malaga, Corfu and the Algarve.

Two-night city breaks, including to Prague, Budapest and Venice, are from £119pp. Elsewhere, trips to the US include seven nights in Orlando from £449pp and three nights in New York from £439pp.

There are also discounts available on holidays to the Caribbean, with seven nights in Barbados from £549pp and St Lucia from £619pp.

ON THE BEACH

THE online giant is offering VIP treats to all its customers. All bookings will come with free airport fast-track to whizz you through security, plus free airport lounge access on 4H and 5H holidays.

There are savings of up to 40 per cent in the sale, with deals including seven nights’ B&B at the 5H Gran Melia Palacio de Isora, Tenerife, from £506pp including Manchester flights on May 3; or seven nights’ half-board at the 5H Lindos Imperial, Cyprus, from £336pp including Stansted flights on April 26; and seven nights’ half-board at the 4H Sol Palmanova in Majorca from £287pp including Birmingham flights on May 1. EASYJET/EASYJET HOLIDAYS

EASYJET has launched its Big Orange Sale, with up to 25 per cent off flights and up to £300 off holidays, with thousands of free child places available to book by February 1.

Seats across thousands of flights to and from the UK between January 18 and September 30, 2022, to 110-plus destinations are up to 25 per cent off if booked before January 11 at easyjet.com.

For a holiday, you can save £300 with a minimum spend of £3,000; get £150 off trips costing £1,500; and save £100 on bookings over £700 using code BIGSALE. Valid on all trips from January 1, 2022, to October 31, 2023. Book by February 1, 2022, at easyjet.com/holidays.

THE online agent has savings of up to 40 per cent on hundreds of hotels across the Med for summer 2022. There are also deposits from as low as £39, free amendments if you need to make a change due to Covid and refunds within 14 days if Thomas Cook or your airline cancels a trip because of quarantine, travel bans or lockdowns in your destination.
