Gordon Ramsay was present at tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing to comfort his daughter Tilly Ramsay after her routine, sweetly holding her hand as she and her partner Nikita Kuzmin jetted off for their scores.

Last week, social media star Tilly and professional dancer Nikita landed in the bottom two with Olympian Adam Peaty and his partner Katya Jones.

After three of the judges chose to save Tilly and Nikita, this week they returned for their comeback performance, delivering an upbeat Quickstep to I Won’t Dance by Damita Jo.

Following the judges’ critiques, which included some pointers for how Tilly could improve her technique, she and Nikita made their way to the stairs, when Gordon – who was in the audience – stood up and reached out to her.

The father and daughter briefly held hands, before Tilly continued to fetch her scores.

She and Nikita managed three sevens and an eight for their dance, resulting in a final score of 29.

Strictly fans absolutely loved Gordon’s adorable gesture to his daughter, with one tweeting: ‘Aww that little wave Gordon gave to Tilly, so sweet.’

‘Can just see the gallery going into meltdown at Gordon Ramsay reaching out to touch Tilly #Strictly,’ another said.

Earlier this week, Tilly shared a joint birthday with her dad, as she turned 20 and he turned 55.

Tilly’s mum Tana Ramsay shared a post on Instagram in celebration of the event, writing: ‘Happy Birthday to these two, cannot wait till I am with you both @tillyramsay @gordongram how did you get so grown up Tilly??!!!xxx,’ alongside some throwback snaps.

Gordon also paid tribute to his daughter, with the chef writing: ‘I can’t think of a better person to share my birthday with than this adorable gracious young lady @tillyramsay always putting others first before herself and you’ve grown up to become an amazing role model.

‘Happy Birthday darling can’t wait to see you very soon love you so much Dad.’

Tilly, meanwhile, wrote in her own post dedicated to her father: ‘Happy birthday to the best dad ever!!

‘You are the most supportive person and best role model I could ever ask for and you have helped me become who I am today, I couldn’t think of a better person to share this day with and I can’t wait until we can celebrate together, love you so so much.’

The Strictly Come Dancing results show airs tomorrow at 7.20pm on BBC One.
