Google issues urgent warning to all Chrome users – you must act right now
GOOGLE has released an important update to Chrome after it was alerted to a high-severity flaw.
The tech giant has refused to give too much detail about the nature of the bug until enough people have downloaded the latest software release.
Otherwise it would essentially send hackers on the right trail before the fix is widely adopted.
“Access to bug details and links may be kept restricted until a majority of users are updated with a fix,” the firm said.
“We will also retain restrictions if the bug exists in a third party library that other projects similarly depend on, but haven’t yet fixed.”
Google routinely rolls out updates for Chrome after experts have reported bugs.
Usually there are quite a few with each month, but for this latest release only one was found and sorted.
However, it’s ranked as a high risk one.

According to Bleeping Computer, this can be used by attackers gain access to information or run stuff on your device.
Google also confirmed that it an exploit for it “exists in the wild”.
The release is rolled out over the coming days and weeks, so be sure to have automatic updates on so you’re protected as soon as possible.
But if you want see if an update is available to you right away you can by opening the three dot menu and selecting Settings.
Go to About Chrome and you can check for any updates here.
