Google recently dropped the changelog for May 2022 system update. Google System update affects the entire Android ecosystem including phones, tablets, TVs, wearables and more. Also, the update brings improvements and changes to the Android, Google Play Services and Play Store.
With May 2022 system update, Google has added a much-awaited and one of the recently rumoured features to Nearby Share. Dubbed as Self sharing, the feature allows users to share and transfer files between devices that are linked to the same Google account.
Earlier, users were required to treat all their Android devices as individual devices, even when they are linked to the same Google account and in case they need to approve the Nearby transfer request every time they want to share something between the devices.
Apart from that, the Google Play system update brings a revamped Google Help app. The redesign brings it on the same page as other Google apps in terms of the Material You design.
The new features will be available on Google Play Store version 22.15 and Play Store version 30.3.
As far as other changes are concerned, the update brings critical bug fixes for Auto, Phone, Tablet, TV and Wear OS. The Google Play Store has also been updated to help users discover apps and games faster.
