Gogglebox’s Giles Wood and Mary Killen have shared photos from the start of their romance almost 40 years ago, and fans are totally obsessed with them
Giles took to Instagram to share a series of black and white photos of the couple, taken around 1986 when Mary was a model, which show them posing together and hugging lovingly.
Viewers, who have watched the couple playfully bicker on the Channel 4 show since 2015, were quick to compare the young Giles to a host of celebrities.
One wrote: ‘Thought that was David Bowie for a moment’ while another added: ‘totally agree!’
Others commented: ‘Hugh Grant crossed with Tom Cruise’ and ‘I’m seeing Hugh Grant and Kate Bush. Cracking couple.’
Mary got her own comparisons, with a fan writing: ‘Mary is the perfect 50/50 of Kate Bush and Stevie Nicks’ and ‘She has Jodie comer vibes’.
Another wrote: ‘Mary is giving me Stevie Nicks vibes and a LOVE it’.
Giles and Mary have been together since they were 21 after meeting while Giles was studying at Wimbledon School of Art.
They have been married for over 30 years and live together in Wiltshire, dubbing their home The Grottage.
They have become firm Gogglebox favourites, and viewers were loving seeing the beautiful throwback snaps from their personal archives.
They commented: ‘Wow #powercouple love you two on @gogglebox’ and ‘Such a gorgeous couple, both of you are good looking people.’
Others added: ‘You guy’s look great, great photos! Ps Gogglebox wouldn’t be the same without you both’ and ‘Beautiful pictures ….. pure love in Mary’s eyes as she looks at Giles.’
Another wrote: ‘You’re are my favs on gogglebox. So funny but such a beautiful marriage, both gorgeous people’ and ‘Beautiful young couple. And, a bit of Bowie thrown in.’
