Globe rolls out prepaid fiber internet service
MANILA -Globe Telecom Inc. has started offering prepaid home fiber internet, catering to mass market’s need for affordable connectivity for work, school, online payments and other digital transactions.
Dubbed as “GFiber Prepaid,” users can avail of the service with a one-time fee of P1,499, which includes installation and seven days of unlimited internet.
Prepaid consumers can choose from different on-demand packages that provide unlimited connectivity for seven days to a month.
The internet solution has no lock-up period and users can use the buy now, pay later option at GCash to pay for the service.
“The launch of GFiber Prepaid is a testament to our commitment to providing fiber internet connection that empowers everyone to seize new opportunities. Whether it’s for work, education, or setting up an online business, GFiber Prepaid is here to make that leap possible, all while staying within budget,” said Raymond Policarpio, vice president of Globe at Home Broadband Business.
Prior to this, Globe had introduced sachet-sized prepaid fiber connectivity by establishing Wi-Fi hubs where users can connect their devices. The Ayala-led company is tapping “sari-sari” stores and other community-based commercial spaces for this service.
Connectivity plans
With this offering, users can have internet access of one hour for P5 and 12 hours for P20. Subscribers can also pay P50 to P500 to have connectivity for three to 30 days.
