Gigi Hadid opens up about arrest ordeal, flaunts confidence in stunning bikini pics

Gigi Hadid was detained for marijuana possession. The supermodel was detained last week after customs officials discovered the narcotic in her suitcase as she was returning from vacation. Later, she was freed on bond.

Following the announcement, Gigi posted a cryptic message on Instagram regarding the arrest. She posted pictures and videos from her vacation to the Cayman Islands, where she was detained, along with the caption “All’s well that ends well.”

The post began with a video of Gigi and a friend, clad in bikinis and enjoying the sun by the sea. She followed it up with an image of herself enjoying the sun in a yellow bikini. In the third, she included a plate of oysters and pictures of her friends.

According to local media, Gigi Hadid and a friend arrived in the Cayman Islands on a private plane. They were detained on suspicion of importing marijuana after customs authorities allegedly discovered marijuana along with related things in their luggage.

They were brought to the Prisoner Detention Centre and then freed on bail. They were sentenced to $1,000 in fines apiece and appeared in court two days later, on July 12. They will not face any further charges.

Gigi’s representatives said in a statement, “Gigi was travelling with marijuana purchased legally in NYC with a medical license. It has also been legal for medical use in Grand Cayman since 2017. Her record remains clear and she enjoyed the rest of her time on the island.”
