Genshin Impact Leaks Analysis And Why Yae Miko is Getting Buffed

Genshin Impact leakers have revealed via a new beta test gameplay video leak that Yae Miko will get buffed soon, here’s what’s happening.

Yae Miko, also known as Yae Guuji, is the newest playable character in Genshin Impact added in Version 2.5, When The Sakura Bloom. Yae Miko is an important character in the story of Inazuma, and has already appeared several times in-game before her release.

Moreover, Yae Miko is a fox girl type of character, based on the Tamamo-no-Mae Japanese folklore legend and anime stereotype. Just like the Tamamo of Fate/Extra and FGO, Yae is quite popular as everyone loves sultry fox anime girls with multiple tails. Yae Miko is also based on Yae Sakura from Honkai Impact 3rd, and they’re both voiced by Ayane Sakura.

However, despite being popular, Yae Miko is a pretty difficult character to play, most notably because of a certain issue with her Elemental Skill, her E. Luckily it’s getting fixed now.

Genshin Impact Version 2.6 Yae Miko buff leaks, analysis

Starting Version 2.6, the Electro attacks triggered by the Sesshou Sakura summoned by Yae Miko’s E/Elemental Skill will target the closest enemy.

Right now, Yae’s lightning attacks summoned from her E hits random enemies. Meaning it can even target enemies invulnerable to Electro DMG, such as Electro Abyss Mages with their barrier still up. Or the Oceanid, which only takes damage after you kill its Hydro Mimics.

This random targeting behavior makes Yae Miko difficult to use in certain situations. Version 2.6 will change this, and it’ll be much easier to focus her firepower now. effectively buffing her.

What do you think of Yae so far and her gameplay? Did you pull or skip her? Tell us in the comments below.
