Genshin Impact: Is The New Diluc & Fischl Skin Leak Real?

New leaks have emerged for upcoming Genshin Impact Skins & alternate costumes, citing Diluc and Fischl as the next characters on the list – Let’s take a look at where this leak came from and whether it’s credible or not.

Genshin Impact developer miHoYo first teased Skins in August 2020, before the game was even released. However, it took nearly a year for the first Skins to be revealed, with Jean and Barbara getting summer swimsuits in 1.6.

miHoYo confirmed Keqing and Ningguang will get party dresses in Version 2.4 (Check our guide on how to get them). Now we’re all waiting to see which characters will get Skins next.

Is the new Diluc & Fischl Skin leak　in Genshin Impact real?

Let’s look at where did the leak come from, who leaked it, and whether it’s credible or not.

Where did the Diluc & Fischl costume leak info come from?

The leak stating new Skins for Diluc and Fischl are coming was first posted by NGA and translated on the Genshin Impact Leaks Reddit and the WFP Discord.

If you don’t know about NGA, it’s the Chinese forum from which nearly all the “insider” leaks of Genshin Impact are from. Contrary to data mined leaks, these concern content coming much later in the future, and are less reliable.

Who leaked the skins?

According to Reddit, it’s the alternate account of Uncle Dumb Dumb, a reliable leaker, who shared the information. Uncle DD was permabanned from NGA and can’t post anymore. So there’s no way to know whether it’s the same person or not.

Are the Diluc and Fischl Skin info leak real?

The leak seems likely when considering the past characters who got Skins so far. It looks like miHoYo plans to give all the base 5-star characters playable since release a Skin first. After Jean and Keqing, it’d make sense for Diluc to get one next. Followed lastly by Qiqi or Mona in either order.

The leak claims Diluc would get a Skin similar to his KFC collab costume as seen in the key visual above, but shares no details for Fischl, which is fine too. Seeing the popularity of the KFC collab in China, it’s definitely likely miHoYo could release a similar butler costume for Diluc in-game. Butler/maid outfits are a staple of otaku culture too.

The main problem however with this leak is that it’s from NGA. There’s no way to know whether that NGA account truly is Uncle DD or not. And the only way to tell whether insider leaks are credible or not is the leaker’s past record. This leaker’s NGA account has no past record at all.

So long story short, you can expect it to happen, but don’t get your hopes up too much for Diluc and Fischl Skins. Meanwhile, Genshin Impact 2.4 with the Ningguang and Keqing Skins launches on January 5, 2022.
