Gariyaband administration empowering young minds with the initiative – Times of India

Raipur: To boost self-confidence and remove hesitation among young learners of the government primary and middle school, the Gariyaband administration has introduced an initiative called ‘Bolega Bachpan Abhiyaan. This campaign would empower young minds and encourage them to overcome their fears by presenting themselves every day after morning prayers and speaking on stage.
Gariyaband Collector Akash Chikara told TOI, the main purpose of this initiative is to make the children overcome their stage fears. Gariyaband in general consists of five blocks under which three blocks are tribal-dominated and it is seen that the tribal kids are much more hesitant and scared to show up.
This initiative will help the children to come over to the stage of fear. Every day two children after morning prayers will be asked to come over to the stage and first introduce themselves, present some of their experience, present a thought of the day, or will give some general information. This will develop verbal expression, language, and speaking with confidence.
Once the children get used to speaking on stage, the district administration would collaborate with other schools and organize inter-school speaking programs. This is how the children will get a boost and will also be felicitated.
Gariyaband DEO D.S. Chouhan informed that initially this campaign is being started in 25 different schools in the district. Every child will be involved in this campaign. This practice of speaking and verbal expression would be organized time-to-time. Most of the children studying in classes one to five study in government primary schools, those students need to ensure that such children are taught by the schools themselves to develop their oral expression.
During the launch of the program, Collector interacted with the students and inquired about their interests, one of the students Neelkamal initially introduced himself and then expressed his desire to serve the country by becoming a soldier.
