Gadar 2 trailer sees Sunny Deol’s Tara Singh fighting the Pakistanis to bring his son back
The much-awaited trailer of Gadar 2 starring the iconic duo Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel is finally released. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film is a sequel to the 2001 blockbuster film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.

In the trailer, Jeete (played by Utkarsh), the son of Tara and Sakina, is shown being tortured by a Pakistani army general. Tara assures a distressed Sakina that he will bring Jeete back. He travels to Lahore and uses a sledgehammer to attack Pakistani army soldiers. The trailer concludes with Tara gazing at a handpump, leaving us to speculate on what happens next.
After 22 years since the release of its predecessor, Gadar, the sequel, Gadar 2 features the return of Tara Singh, Sakeena, and Jeete’s family to the big screen.
The story is set in 1971 amidst the “Crush India” movement and follows Tara Singh as he travels to Lahore, Pakistan to bring back his son.
The Gadar 2 trailer was released on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Divas. The trailer was launched at a grand event attended by Anil Sharma, Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Shariq Patel, Simrat Kaur, Mithoon, Alka Yagnik, Jubin Nautiyal and Aditya Narayan.
Sunny Deol expressed, “I am highly grateful to the fans for their unwavering support for Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, and I assure that Gadar 2 will deliver double the action, emotions, and entertainment.”
Director Anil Sharma shared, “We are excited about bringing back a story that epitomizes patriotism, intense action, a heartwarming father-son bond, and a love story that transcends all boundaries.”
Along with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, the film also stars Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur, Manish Wadhwa, and Gaurav Chopra in pivotal roles.
Gadar 2 is slated to hit the big screen on August 11.
