‘Gadar 2’ promo: Ameesha Patel teases Kapil Sharma, Sunny Deol jokes he came to shoot in a truck

The lead pair of Anil Sharma’s upcoming film “Gadar 2, the Katha Continues” Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, will be seen as guests on the Kapil Sharma Show. In a promo released by the Sony Entertainment Television channel, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel were seen dancing to the popular songs from the first film, including Main Nikla Gaddi Leke.
Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 also stars Utkarsh Sharma, Manish Wadhwa, Luv Sinha, and Simrat Kaur and is set to be released next month. In the promtional clip show host Kapil Sharma says in Hindi that we are seeing Sunny Deol in the Tara Singh getup everywhere these days. refering to Sunny Deol’s character of truck driver Tara Singh in the 2001 action blockbuster Gadar.”So Archana Puran Singh was asking if you came to the shoot today in a car or drove a truck to reach here,” Kapil Sharma asks Sunny Deol.

Sunny Deol promtly replies: “I thought a truck would be apt, since I have to take her along after the shoot.” “Gadar” which was released in 2001 had grossed over Rs 100 crore, according to box office records.

Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2: The Katha Continues’ is set to be released on August 11. The film will have a major rival in Akshay Kumar ‘s ‘OMG 2’, a sequel to the 2011 film ‘Oh My God’. OMG 2 is set be released on August 11.

Directed by Amit Rai, ‘OMG 2’ also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam, and Arun Govil in lead roles.

In the same promo, show host Kapil Sharma recalls being on the set of Gadar in Amritsar and when he tappped on Amrish Puri’s shoulder, the late actor gave an angry look in his signature fashion. Ameesha replies that Kapil should’ve tapped on her shoulder instead.
