Gabby Logan blasts Olympics officials as injured KJT is disqualified ‘Gosh all heart!’
Following the heartbreaking images of Brit Katarina Johnson-Thompson falling to the floor in agony during Olympic heats, Gabby Logan lashed out at the officials for their treatment of Ms Johnson Thompson branding them for lacking “heart”. The world champion is reported to have pulled her achilles tendon in her right leg as she came onto the final 100 metre straight. The injury is the latest incident for the Team GB athlete who has faced many setbacks over the past few years.
The former international rhythmic gymnast blasted officials for “all the heart”.
Ms Lewis said: “It was interesting for me, watching her. Obviously she was bitterly disappointed, crying on the track but then she composed herself and jogged down the home straight.
“I was really surprised to see that.
“You could have the attitude, ‘woe is me, why is this happening again?'”

She continued: “It’s this composure for me where she stands on her feet and shows great courage.
“Normally she would have been devastated so I really admired her for battling through this year.”
Ms Logan added: “Subsequently we found out she had been disqualified for rolling.
“Gosh, the officials have got all heart in the Olympic stadium!”

Going into the 200m, she had slipped two places to fifth after finishing 15th in the shot put.
Next year will see Johnson-Thompson have the chance to compete in the European Championship, World Championship and Commonwealth games while the Paris Olympics are also only three years away.
The Heptathlon is a seven event combined track and field competition.
Athletes compete in: 100 metres hurdles; High jump; Shot put; 200 metres; Long jump; Javelin throw; 800 metres.
