Currently, anyone returning to the UK only needs to have a Covid test taken after they arrive.

From February 11, this will be lifted and all vaccinated arrivals only need to fill in a Passenger Locator Form.

We’ve rounded up the rest of the travel rules you need to be aware of at some of the popular holiday hotspots.

Spain

Brits must be fully vaccinated and cannot now use a negative Covid test or proof of recovery to enter.

Anyone aged 12 and over who received their second dose more than nine months ago must have had a third booster jab to be allowed in.

The booster must have been given more than 14 days before travelling.

Many of the holiday islands have the highest Covid restrictions in place, but the country is to lift mandatory face masks in outdoor areas from next week.

France

Vaccinated Brits won’t be allowed to visit France if they received their second jab more than 270 days ago.

The only way they’ll be permitted entry is if they have had a booster jab at least 14 days before travelling.

Unvaccinated travellers must self-isolate for 10 days when they arrive in France and have an essential reason to enter the country – which doesn’t include for tourism reasons.

Under 18s do not need a booster jab to be considered fully vaccinated.

Portugal

Portugal has scrapped pre-arrival Covid tests for Brits, so from next week, fully vaccinated Brits will no longer need to have any Covid tests to enter.

To be fully vaccinated, Brits must have had their second jab less than nine months ago, or have had their booster jab.

Greece

Greece has scrapped the pre-arrival Covid tests for Brits who are fully vaccinated from February 7.

To be fully vaccinated, Brits must have had their second jab less than nine months ago, or have had their booster jab

If not vaccinated, a negative PCR test must be taken 72 hours before travelling.

Greece has strict rules when it comes to face masks, with everyone having to wear them in all indoor and public spaces.

If you don’t have an N95/FFP2 mask then you have to wear two in some parts of the country which includes supermarkets and public transport.
