From Jawan to Animal: Postponed Bollywood Movies

Recently, many Bollywood films have changed their release dates amidst the clash with other films in the box office. Here are some of the recent Bollywood movies that have postponed their release.

Jawaan

Release Date: September 7, 2023

Previously, Atlee’s Jawaan starring Bollywood’s King Khan aka Shah Rukh Khan was set to be released on June 2. The dates of the film were changed due to the VFX and post-production work of the film. The film also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi.

Animal

Release Date: December 1, 2023

Planned to be released on August 11, Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, has been postponed and will now be released on December 1. The makers of the film revealed that the film was postponed solely due to the quality and cited that there will be seven songs which are then made in five different languages. Now, the film will compete with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur and Fukrey 3.

Yodha

Release Date: December 15, 2023

Previously, Anurag Basu’s anthology film Metro In Dino was slated to hit the cinemas on December 8, 2023. But now, the makers of the film are opting for a Good Friday release and the film is slated to be released on March 29 next year. The film features an ensemble cast comprising Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Maidaan

Release Date: Yet to be confirmed

Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan which was slated to hit cinemas on November 27, 2020, has changed its release dates many times and now we have no idea as to when the film will come to the theatres.
