There’s no question that Seventeen is one of the biggest male K-pop acts today—which is visibly reflected in the grandiose theatrical music video of their song “Super”—as their success resulted in newbie fans hoping to discover their old music.

It’s common knowledge among fans including the writer that Seventeen’s older records have been out of print. But their label, Pledis Entertainment, caught supporters by surprise on Weverse on Tuesday, June 6, when it announced that eight of the group’s out-of-print albums will be re-released on June 26.

“Hello. This is Pledis Entertainment. Seventeen’s out-of-print official albums will be re-released on Monday, June 26,” the statement read.

According to the label, the albums include those from the singers’ old records from 2015 to 2018—where original versions, photocards, photobooks and other inclusions are included.

The albums to be re-released include: “17 Carat,” “Boys Be,” “First ‘Love & Letter,’” “Love & Letter” repackage album, “Going Seventeen,” “Al1,” “Teen, Age” and “Director’s Cut.”

A video announcement showing Seventeen’s music through the years was also uploaded on the boy group’s official YouTube channel.

Notable songs included in the video are “Adore U,” “Mansae,” “Pretty U,” “Very Nice” and “Don’t Wanna Cry,” among others.

Seventeen is composed of 13 members, namely S.coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon, Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, Seungkwan, Hoshi, Jun, The8 and Dino. The group, which debuted in May 2015, is notable for having three units: hip-hop, vocal and performance.

Some of the group’s hit songs include “Hot,” “Rock with You,” “Super,” “_World,” “Left & Right” and “Super,” among many others.  /ra
