Fred Sirieix addresses Gordon and Gino feud rumours after show axed

Fred Sirieix expressed his regret that he and his two co-stars will no longer be making more episodes of their enormously popular Road Trip Series.

However, he insisted that he simply needs to “go with the flow” and accept the ending of the show he shared with celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay and Gino D’Acampo.

The First Dates host, who began his career working in Michelin-starred restaurants, also joked that he’s been filming episodes so long that – in a drastic transformation from his earlier days – his hair has now turned grey.

“You just have to go with the flow in life, some things come and some things go,” he told the Mirror in a new interview.

“It was great, we enjoyed it, we had fun while it lasted and now it’s not going to happen anymore.”

Adamant that there’d been no falling out prior to that, he explained: “I’d rather have the friendship and not have the show.”

Around the time of learning that the show had ended, viewers also discovered that Gino had reportedly been caught with a small amount of cannabis on the way back from a trip with his two co-stars.

Sniffer dogs allegedly discovered the stash when he touched down at the airport after visiting Spain.

According to The Sun, officers at the scene did accept that he had been using a small quantity for medicinal purposes, after suffering with a bad back.

Meanwhile, Fred opened up about his experience presenting Channel 4 show First Dates, telling the Mirror: “We all grow up in Disney movies, even though we know life is not like that.

“We all have a lot of preconceived ideas and for me what was really reinforced working on First Dates is that there’s so many ways to live your life. It’s really refreshing to not judge people, we really have to expand our horizons!”
