UPDATE: Epic Games has officially revealed that Ariana Grande will be headlining the season 7 Rift Tour live events.
The first Ariana Grande concert takes place this Friday, with five showings in total taking place in Battle Royale.
Announcing the news, the Fortnite Twitter said: “Excuse us, Ariana is coming!
“Fortnite Presents the Rift Tour featuring @ArianaGrande kicks off August 6 at 6 PM ET #RiftTour”.
While in a blog post the Fortnite team added: “From August 6-8, take a musical journey into magical new realities where Fortnite and Ariana Grande collide. Dive into the Rift Tour.
“Ensuring that fans around the world can catch the Rift Tour, the experience spans five showtimes over three days. We recommend fans arrive in Fortnite 60 minutes before showtime, and the Rift Tour Playlist should be live 30 minutes before each show. Before Ariana’s arrival, the Rift Tour kicks off with Fortnite-themed experiences — pairing popular tracks with moments based on elements from the game.”
To mark the event, an Ariana Grande Outfit and Piggy Smallz Back Bling will also be available to Battle Royale players.

ORIGINAL: The Fortnite Ariana Grande live event could be officially confirmed by Epic Games shortly.
It has been rumoured for awhile now that Ariana Grande will be fronting the Fortnite season 7 live event.
And Epic Games has now confirmed that a Fortnite event is on the way and launching on Friday.
The Fortnite Rift Tour debuts on Friday August 6, and will include five shows that takes Fortnite fans on a “magical” journey.
Interestingly, Epic Games has so far kept who will be headlining the Fortnite Rift Tour under wraps.
The Fortnite makers have teased a “record-breaking superstar” will be performing at the Rift Tour.
And that description fits the bill of pop superstar and all-round icon Ariana Grande.
Epic Games revealed the first details on the Fortnite Rift Tour on Thursday July 29, and said some “big” news on the event will drop on Monday August 2.

August 6 – 6pm (The Americas)
August 7 – 2pm (Global)
August 8 – 12am (Asia, Oceania)
August 8 – 10am (EU)
August 8 – 6pm (The Americas)
In the run-up to the next Fortnite event posters have gone live in-game, and finding these in-game items are central to one of the new Fortnite Rift Tour challenges.
These posters had leaked previously, and when these items first emerged only added weight to the Ariana Grande rumours.
That’s because all of these posters have strong links to the Thank U, Next singer.
One of the posters has the same colour scheme of an outfit that Ariana wears on stage.
While another one of these posters appears to be named after Ariana’s pet Piggy Smallz.
And the third and final poster is called Rain On Me, which is the name of one of Ariana Grande’s songs.
