Fortnite Among Us mode: How to win in Epic’s new Imposters game mode

Fortnite fans can check out a brand new game mode, titled Imposters.

Inspired by Among Us, Imposters is a ten-person game mode in which players must expose the saboteurs.

Eight Agents are tasked with maintaining The Bridge, while two Impostors set out to overtake it.

If you want to win the game as an Agent, the aim is to complete assignments.

This includes calibrating chests and llamas, repairing the Battle Bus, and delivering Storm reports for analysis.

To stand the best possible chance of winning, you’ll need to complete the tasks quickly, while simultaneously looking out for Imposters.

Victory comes when Agents complete all assignments, or successfully vote out all of the Imposters.

“If you find a fellow Agent’s eliminated fragment, report it!” Epic explains. “Everyone will be teleported to The Bridge where you can inform Agents who you suspect might have betrayed the IO and vote them out.”

Imposters, on the other hand, must eliminate Agents in order to take control of The Bridge. They can also disable assignments to halt progress.

Another handy trick is the ability to relocate Agents and Impostors to somewhere else on The Bridge. Using this will help to cover your tracks when playing as an Imposter.

It’s also worth taking advantage of the Peely Party, which is when all Agents and Imposters look like Peely for a short time. This is the perfect time to strike.

Things get a little trickier when completing Assignments as an Imposters. Completing Assignments will ensure you blend in with the crowd, but also put the Agents one step closer to winning the match.

If you’re an Imposter, make sure there’s nobody around when trying to sabotage Assignments, otherwise you’ll almost certainly be caught.

Taking advantage of the new Quick Chat menu is also key to victory as both an Agent or Imposter.

“Sometimes you’ll need to Force a Discussion to check in on fellow Agents and discuss the Impostor infiltration,” Epic explains.

“Discussions can be called by finding an eliminated Agent and reporting it or by interacting with the Discussion panel in The Bridge’s centre room.

“During discussions, Agents and Impostors can share information with each other via Emotes and a brand-new Quick Chat menu, asking contextual questions about who was doing what and accusing suspicious candidates for ejection.

“At the end of each Discussion, Agents and Impostors will vote to either eject someone from The Bridge or to skip their vote for that Discussion. Consider others’ accusations and objections carefully: if the person voted out was actually an Agent, then Impostors are one step closer to eliminating everyone. Sometimes not voting is the best option”.
