Former AFL player stuns NFL with freak move

Former AFL player Arryn Siposs is the toast of Philadelphia after helping the Eagles to a second-round win with a freak play.

The 29-year-old is making a name for himself in the states, having previously played for St Kilda for five years before being delisted at the end of the 2015 AFL season.

His journey to the top of American football took some time, and he made his NFL debut for the Eagles last season after joining them as a back-up punter.

But on Tuesday his name was on the lips of every NFL pundit when he shocked the Minnesota Vikings during a 24-7 Eagles victory.

Philadelphia lined up for a field-goal attempt and Siposs was holding the ball, when the kick was charged down.

As the Vikings scooped up the ball and sprinted away, it was Siposs who gave chase and ran down the ball-carrier to thwart certain points.
