Black Friday begins on November 26, with all the major retailers expected to slash prices across a swathe of tech, including TVs, smartphones, tablets, games consoles, and smart speakers. It’s one of the biggest shopping events of the year, but ahead of this mega sale event, Currys has launched a pretty epic offer of its own.
The retailer has announced that it’s giving customers the chance to get a new LG TV – worth up to £5,500 – absolutely free. Yes, you did read that correctly. Of course, you’re probably thinking there has to be a catch as clearly, not everyone will be able to walk into a Currys and exit the store with a new telly under their arm without paying for it.
Although that’s true, the UK tech retailer is promising a 1 in 20 chance of a free telly. To have a chance of getting a free television, all you have to do is buy an LG TV, enter your details and proof of purchase on the Currys website.
One in 20 people will then be refunded the complete cost of the TV. Those lucky enough to win will get back all of their money – no matter how much the telly cost to purchase in the first place.
That means you could treat yourself to LG’s 85-inch 4K OLED TV, which costs as much as £5,495, and not pay a penny for it.
Of course, it’s worth remembering that not everyone will win, so make sure you can afford to pay the credit card bill before splashing out on a new TV. That said, if you were thinking of upgrading anyway it’s worth giving it a go as you could find you get a shiny new gogglebox in your living room without it costing a penny.
