Forecast Man Utd’s final Premier League results and share your top-four verdict

With just seven games to go in the Premier League season, Manchester United are still just about in the race for the top four – although their hopes are fading fast.

United’s dismal season looks set to deliver very little, with their pre-season title ambitions quickly being replaced by a fight just to qualify for next season’s Champions League. And even that is looking beyond them at this point.

What has been a dire campaign from United hit a new low on Saturday as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at relegation-threatened Everton. With just seven games now left in the season, their hopes of reaching the Premier League’s top four are hanging by a thread.

Having fallen six points off the pace at the weekend, many have now written off their chances of being back at Europe’s top table next season. If they are to defy the odds and have any chance of finishing in the top four, they’ll have to overcome some daunting fixtures before the end of the season.

First up is the visit of Norwich on Saturday, before United head to Anfield in midweek to take on title-chasing Liverpool. Then comes a must-win game against fellow top-four hopefuls Arsenal in north London.

Brentford and Brighton follow, with another huge game in their penultimate fixture against Chelsea. United close out the season at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace, by which time they will hope to at least still be in with a chance of fourth.

Of course, they will have to rely on Tottenham – and Arsenal for that matter – dropping points along the way if they’re to have any chance.
