Focusing on one chapter at a time helped class XII, top scorer – Times of India
A civil services aspirant Tanya scored 100 per cent marks in the result in all five subjects English, History, Geography, Economics and Hindi vocal music.
According to HS Vashisth, principal of the DPS, another two girls Bhumika Gupta and Radhika Agarwal, who scored 499 marks are also students of the DPS.
Giving credit to her teachers and principal for this achievement, the topper has also disclosed her desire to be what she wants to be after completing her study, ” I want to clear the UPSC exam to serve the country. It is my dream to be an IAS officer”, said, Tanya whose favourite subject is history.
When asked how she prepared for the exam, she further told,”For me, time management is all about clearing my concepts chapterwise. I never moved on to the next until I grasped the current only thoroughly.”
Of course, my parents are also behind this success, they never disturbed me during study at home”, she added.
Tanya’s father, Vijay Kumar, told TOI,”She never studied for 12-15 hours as is expected from a Boards student. she always studied for one or two hours to meet her daily target. But she has always been consistent and never postponed her studies. We are very busy getting wishes from friends and relatives, my wife and my son who has cleared class 11th this year are very happy about her achievement.”
She love to play badminton and listing music whenever she gets time. Now she is planning to study in Delhi university, in history subject, we will get in touch with authority of admission in Delhi university”, added, Kumar.
