On her TikTok channel @cierra_mistt, the crew member revealed that holidaymakers sitting in the last row have more chances of being upgraded to first class.
She explained why: “One thing the airlines don’t want you to know is that the majority of the flights we have to move people for weight and balance purposes.
“That being said, if you want to fly first class and not have to pay for it, I highly suggest that you choose sitting in the last row.
“Because if we do have to move people for weight and balance purposes, that’s where the flight attendants are going to go.”
Cierra explained in a previous video: “When we move people all the way up to the front it’s not just because we are being nice, but normally if our flight is full we have to move people for weight and balance purposes.”

Depending on the number of people on board, aeroplanes get tail heavy and flight attendants may have to move the passengers sitting at the back towards the front.
Travel experts at the flying blog Simpleflying explained why “cabin crew might ask you to move seats before departure”.
They said that the “weight and balance distribution is something all pilots have to be aware of”.
Weight and balance is important because the “weight needs to be distributed in such a way that the aircraft is balanced and able to take off safely”.
“Every person, bag and piece of cargo affects the longitudinal balance of the plane, so having it too heavily or lightly loaded towards either the nose or the tail can make it unstable and difficult to control,” the travel experts revealed.
Another “easy way” to get a free upgrade on board is by bringing snacks for the crew. Cierra explained: “The miracles we can work when we are given some Starbucks or a pack of chocolate.
“Especially on those long days when we have back-to-back flights and we don’t even have time to go get some food.”
Flight attendant Miguel Muñoz agreed and said: “I am automatically nicer to the person who had that nice gesture. The cabin chief would always offer them free coffee and tea and if there are better seats available, we will move them!”
Former flight attendant Helena Afroughi also told Express.co.uk that bringing “some sweets or chocolate to the crew always works”.
