Flight attendant shares clever method to charge your phone without a charger
Flight attendant Esther, who works for Dutch airline KLM, took to her TikTok channel to share some of her best hotel hacks.
The crew member revealed a clever way to charge a phone without a wall plug or a travel adaptor. She said: “World travel plug broken?
“Use your USB cable and charge it in the TV! This is extremely helpful if you forgot or lost your wall plug from your charger.”
Therefore, holidaymakers don’t need to pack an adaptor or wall plug when going on holiday anymore, but only bring the cable with them.
The cable can be connected to the TV’s USB port, which acts as a charging circuit and is normally located on the rear or side of the unit.
Travel guru Oliver Burke shared another hotel hack on Twitter and revealed that there is no need to bring one adaptor for each device.
Instead, holidaymakers only need “one travel adaptor and extension lead” to charge all their phones, tablets and other electronic devices.
On the social media platform, a traveller commented: “Am I the only person who takes an extension lead on holidays instead of taking a dozen plug adaptors?”
Another one said: “This legit has just blown my mind! Why have I never thought of this.”
On Reddit, one user recommended: “When staying at a hotel it’s worth taking an extension cable for your mobile phone. Too many hotel rooms lack a power point anywhere near the bed.”
Commenting on Esther’s phone hack video, a TikTok user said: “One of the most useful videos here.” However, another one warned: “Actually you should never use public USB ports. People can install malicious devices that can run keystroke injection attacks on your devices.”
