Yesterday, people all over the world took the opportunity to show their affection.

With cards, flowers, love notes and chocolates, they aimed to steal the heart of another.

However, one five-year-old boy stole the show in his attempt at love.

The boy went viral on TikTok when his mother shared a video of him asking his classmate to be his valentine.

Dressed in a black suit and armed with flowers, chocolate and a rainbow unicorn, the little boy confidently walked up to his love interest’s front door.

‘May I see Lila?’ he asks the girl’s father as he reaches the threshold.

Next Lila walks to the door to her potential valentine.

Like a romantic movie, snow falls around them as the boy says ‘Happy Valentine’s’ and gives Lila her gifts.

The pair then give each other a hug and part ways.

Since being posted by @shelbysmall1 the video has been viewed over 40 million time and received 8 millions likes.

Those in the comments adored the mini love story.

‘We’re not crying, you’re crying,’ commented one user.

‘Chivalry is not dead,’ added another.

‘We need more of this in the world,’ said a third.

Meanwhile, some even joked the five-year-old boy was doing more than most grown men.

One user quipped: ‘Lil kid has more courage than a grown man.’
