Five-day programme on ‘Safety of Women’ for police officials started at SKPA Udhampur – Times of India
Official SKPA spoksperson said, “The course has attracted participation from (21) police officers hailing from various regions across Jammu & Kashmir.”
“Sr Superintendent of Police Rajinder Kumar who also is Deputy Director (Indoor) of SKPA Udhampur inaugurated the the programme.”
In his inaugural address, Special invitee SSP/Dy Director SKPA Gupta emphasized the significance of the training and urged the officers to enhance their professional competence as investigators, specifically focusing on offenses against women and children, including the ever-evolving realm of Cyber Crime.
“The primary objective is to ensure that the cases they handle lead to successful convictions,” he added.
SSP Gupta said, “To achieve this goal, the course is thoughtfully designed to encompass investigation skills and impart the latest knowledge of provisions of law, such as POCSO, JJ Act, IT Act, and others of relevance.
Dr Kavita Suri, Director of the Department of Life Long Learning at University of Jammu, also spoke on the occasion Sanjeev Gupta and Vikrant Singh (Both Inspectors) faculty members at the academy briefed the trainees about the course and subjects.
