Once this feature is rolled out, users will be able to see a prompt in the Fitbit app (or an option in app settings). This prompt will ask users to migrate to logging in with a Google Account. Users will also be able to review their existing setup before they migrate to the login procedure, the report adds.
The report also mentions that existing users won’t have to switch to the new procedure until 2025. However, once this mandate rolls out, new Fitbit users will need to use their Google Account to set up their devices.
