Final Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Gameplay Trailer Teases An Epic Showdown With Droids And Bounty Hunters

With just a few weeks left until it launches on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, one more trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now available to watch and sets the stage for what fans can expect from the sequel. Like previous teasers, this trailer focuses on just how dark the galaxy has become in the five years since Cal Kestis rediscovered his Jedi heritage, and in the video below, you’ll see him tangle with a number of enemies from both the prequel and original trilogy eras.

One interesting antagonist that Respawn is teasing in its trailers is Rayvis, a Gen’dai who looks like a purple Hulk if he was wearing Iron Man armor. Eagle-eyed fans will spot the resemblance here to another Gen’dai enforcer, Durge, who showed up two decades ago in Star Wars: Clone Wars, the series of short episodes spearheaded by Genndy Tartakovsky of Dexter’s Lab fame. While the latest trailer shows Rayvis executing some brutal physical attacks in the direction of Kestis, don’t be too surprised if that fight takes a turn towards Resident Evil territory, as Gen’dai typically have a body composed of a mass of slimy tentacles that can quickly regenerate when they suffer any damage.

Their armor keeps their biomass in check, and this warrior race usually adheres to a code of honor when it comes to taking on worthy opponents.

If you’re looking to play Jedi: Survivor on PC when it launches on April 28, you’ll need to make certain that you have plenty of storage space for the game. While the PC requirements are otherwise modest, Respawn is advising that you have 155GB of space available for the game when you install it.

“Survivor sets up some intriguing ideas and teases some potentially interesting character dynamics in its second chapter,” Jordan Ramée wrote in GameSpot’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor preview. “Unfortunately, I was less impressed by a lot of what I can actually talk about and more by what I can’t, but the sequel to one of my favorite Star Wars games is shaping up nicely.”

In other news from a galaxy far (far!) away, Star Wars Celebration had plenty of updates for new movies and TV series that are in development. Disney+ show Ahsoka will arrive in August, the second season of Andor will launch in 2024, and Daisy Ridley will headline a new Star Wars film that is set 15 years after the events of Rise of Skywalker.
