FIFA 23 is being dominated by English teams and players
FIFA 23 has just passed the one month mark, and gamer stats have shown that English clubs and players are dominating the game.
Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, not only won September’s Player of the Month, but he has also scored the most goals in FIFA 23.
The Manchester-born striker has beaten out more highly-rated players, such as Kylian Mbappé, and Karim Benezema.
A number of other Premier League players help round out the top ten.
Darwin Núñez, Erling Haaland, Gabriel Jesus, and Cristiano Ronaldo all make top cut.
Former League players, Bournemouth’s Arnaut Danjuma, and Chelsea’s Timo Werner also made the list.
Worcestershire-born Jude Bellingham is the most used player in the single-player Career Mode, though he now plays in the German Bundesliga.
Manchester City is the most popular club to use, and in particular players have been enjoying seeing them defeat Paris Saint-Germain.
In terms of Women’s football, Chelsea is the most played, while their star player Sam Kerr is the game’s top scorer.
In an interview, Sam Kerr referred to herself as a “cheat code” for FIFA 23, and the stats back her up.
Gamers in over 200 countries have been enjoying FIFA 23 over the last month, and so it is surprising that England has dominated in almost every single category recorded.
Since release, players have spent a total of 15.7billion minutes in-game, which is almost 30k years.
The World Cup starts near the end of this month, and a new mode will be added to FIFA 23 in order to celebrate.
Some players managed to enter the mode early and saw that 48 nations will be available, compared to the real-life event’s 36.
Big changes are apparently coming to the mode, as unlike previous games, the World Cup mode is reported to not be a part of FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT).
Promo cards given out during the event for objectives and squad building challenges will reportedly be removed after the World Cup ends.
This would be the first time that players will lose cards on their account.
