Feel-good TV hitting streaming

In a welcomed respite from lockdowns and associated chaos, there’s some warm, feel-good fun TV hitting streaming on Binge this month.

Before Christmas movie bingeing inevitably begins in coming weeks, there’s quite a few non-festive offerings hitting streaming in November you’ll want to squeeze in first.

A bevy of brand new series are taking centre stage on Binge* this month, with the addition of the entire boxset release of old favourites Wentworth and The Sopranos.

Here are a few of the key highlights, with the full list found below:

WHAT HAPPENED, BRITTANY MURPHY? November 7: It’s been over a decade since Brittany Murphy died aged 32 but her sudden death continues to spark intrigue. This HBO Max documentary explores the mysterious circumstances surrounding her passing, with archival footage and interviews with those closest to her.

HEAD OF THE CLASS, November 7: In a reboot of the feel-good ’80s ABC comedy series of the same name, it’s now 2021 and there’s a whole new generation of gifted high school students taking the lead. There’s a new teacher too – cut from the same cloth as original history teacher Charlie Moore (Howard Hesseman) – who inspires them to focus on the importance of experiences rather than grades.

THE SEX LIVES OF COLLEGE GIRLS, November 18: Emmy-nominated writer Mindy Kaling (The Office) teamed up with Justin Noble (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) to produce this brand new, 10-episode comedy series, which follows four female roommates living at the prestigious New England Essex College. Settle in for some serious lols as the gals get up to some good old-fashioned college fun on a journey of self-discovery.
