Disturbing images posted by Britney Spears show the star bloodied and bound on the floor – but she says there’s a “pretty lame” explanation.
Britney Spears has shared startling images of her 2021 Halloween costume, with pictures posted to her Instagram account showing the star handcuffed and laying motionless on the floor in nothing but a negligee.
Spears shocked fans with the images, and offered some imaginative backstory for her Halloween look in the accompanying caption.
“5:45 … she arrived … the doorman said she came home alone !!! She went to dinner with two girlfriends and had 1 drink … took a cab home but was found on the floor by her neighbour … it remains a mystery … who would do such a thing ??? She had a wonderful family and of course they were nowhere nearby !!!!” she wrote.
Elsewhere, Spears’ lengthy caption was at times hard to follow: “Pretty lame I did this for Halloween last night but if interpretation is coincided with opposition what are the beneficial effects of an imaginative reality?” she wrote, prompting one fan to write underneath: “Girl what are you talking about? Honestly lol.”
Some fans praised Britney for the realistic Halloween costume – while others confessed the grisly photos had shocked them. “Come on Britney, don’t play us like that,” one fan wrote.
“I literally freaked out thinking you were hurt …. Don’t scare us like that queen,” wrote another.
Britney also made reference to her 13-year conservatorship in the caption – and issued a direct plea to her parents as she waits to regain her freedoms as the arrangement finally comes to an end.
“It’s been 13 years for me so I’m a little rusty,” she wrote. “Ma and dad can I drive my car now?” Spears was unable to drive herself without permission under the conditions of the conservatorship, one of many basic freedoms – including voting, having children or getting married – she’s been denied since being placed into the arrangement following her 2007 public breakdown.
But in September Britney had a major win in her ongoing battle to remove her 13-year long conservatorship, with Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny ruling to suspend her father Jamie Spears as conservator, effective immediately, following explosive testimonies by the singer.
