Fans are even fighting in the suites at Cubs-White Sox game
The Cubs and White Sox clashed at Guaranteed Rate Field on Wednesday night, but the real entertainment took place in the suites.
A massive brawl broke out in one suite and was captured on camera during the Cubs’ 10-7 victory over their rivals.
The video was posted by the Twitter user “@fierrorene83,” who claimed to be sitting in a separate suite next to where the fight took place — writing, “They were next to mine. We had dinner and a show haha.”
Multiple fights happened at one time in the video, which showed two women going at it in one corner and a pair of male fans fighting a few seats over.
One woman was seen repeatedly punching another woman while other fans attempted to intervene and break it up.
The man in the blue t-shirt was seen pummeling another fan before someone dragged him over the seats and escorted him to the back of the suite.
Meanwhile, one guy sat in the corner just trying to enjoy his ice cream.
“Damn,” someone can be heard yelling during the melee, while another added, “It needs to be separated.”
Someone else can be here saying: “Everybody’s fighting in that b–ch.”
Although fights at MLB games – and sports events in general – are fairly common, it rarely happens in private suites, where fans usually know each other or gather together for games.
The Twitter user shared the video in response to someone who said there was a shortage of fights at the game due to White Sox fans being “too depressed” over the team’s play.
The people involved in the altercation have yet to be identified. It’s unclear if anyone was injured and whether or not police or stadium security was called.
The White Sox have yet to address the situation.
