Expert unveils seven warning signs there’s something wrong with your hormones

The founder of Elle Sera, Elissa Corrigan said even the slightest hormone imbalance can cause unwanted symptoms and side effects.

One of the key signs of a hormonal imbalance, according to Elissa, is experiencing low mood and anxiety.

She said: “It’s something I’d seen first-hand with female clients joining The Life Lab wellness retreat, which I founded in 2017.

“Incredible women confessed to a whole range of issues that were destroying their lives and damaging their relationships.”

To combat this trend Elissa was observing when women entered her retreat, Elle Sera was born.

Elle Sera is a potent, hormone-balancing pill backed by evidence-based research that contains maca extract, ginkgo biloba, tribulus terrestris, beetroot, and Siberian ginseng.

These ingredients are said to tackle hormonal issues, which can lead to unpleasant sensations.

Another potential sign of a hormonal imbalance is “feeling worn out during menopause or periods”; Elissa stated: “Low oestrogen could be the culprit.”

As oestrogen is thought to “keep inflammation at bay”, low levels of the hormone might cause joint pain, the wellness expert said.

Hormonal imbalances could also lead to low libido, weakened immune system, and brain fog.

Elissa elaborated: “Oestrogen is vital for healthy cognition, memory and concentration. During menopause or polycystic ovary syndrome, oestrogen can yo-yo and cause brain fog.”

Elissa added: “Fluctuating hormones during menopause or your monthly cycle can affect your kidney’s water-handling abilities causing an increase in water weight.”

Another thing Elissa said a hormonal imbalance can lead to is high blood pressure, which can lead to heart disease.

Signs of a hormonal imbalance, according to Elissa:

  1. Low mood and anxiety
  2. Feeling worn out
  3. Inflammation and joint pain
  4. Low libido
  5. Brain fog
  6. Water weight
  7. High blood pressure.

Before taking any supplement, it is recommended you speak to your local pharmacist or doctor.

Should you suspect you could be suffering from a hormonal imbalance, do share your concerns and symptoms with your doctor.

People with a suspected hormone imbalance will likely be referred to an endocrinologist.
