Expert names most rebellious royal that ‘made the Queen explode’ – claims

When it comes to behaving respectably in public, the royals have this down to a fine art.

Whether they are speaking to the royal fans on an outing or directly to the press, the Royal Family rarely puts a foot wrong and is known for behaving impeccably.

However, according to body language expert Judi James, there is one royal who has caused some controversy in her time – but you might not have heard of her.
She claimed: “If you think royals don’t come much more rebellious than Prince Harry and his broadsides or Princess Margaret and her party lifestyle, that’s because one royal rebel has been lost in the midst of recent history.
“But back in her day Marina Ogilvy, only daughter of the very regal Princess Alexander of Kent and second cousin of King Charles – who is also her godfather – got up to a series of shocking antics that were said to have left the late Queen ‘exploding with rage at the stories’.

She continued: “There were stories that she had asked the Queen herself to intervene and for a long period the newspapers were full of headlines and lurid claims about this royal who was considered scandalous.”

The expert noted one remarkably unique move from Marina, something very atypical of royal women.

She said: “When Marina did marry she wore a black dress that placed her a world away from the normal Disney Princess look that most royal women favoured.”

The royal looked cool in her calf-length velvet dress, paired with a red velour jacket complete with gold tassels.

She accessorised with sheer black tights, black suede pumps and a wide-brimmed black hat.

However, this was a far cry from the dresses of other royal brides, such as Kate, Princess of Wales, or Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice who all wore traditional white dresses.

Judi continued: “Even a photo of her in jeans and a leather jacket, which would barely raise one eyebrow now, was seen as another example of her capacity or even intention to shock the world.”

In 1991, Marina Ogilvy was the first royal who was named Rear of the Year, a British award for women thought to possess a particularly attractive posterior.

Zara Tindall once did something that might be considered rebellious according to royal standards – getting her tongue pierced in the 90s.
